Memory Quilts & More

T-shirt quilts or memory quilts are made up of blocks from retired t-shirts and other clothing. Blocks are usually square and can be 4-16″ in size. Baby shirts make squares that are 4-6″, toddler shirts 6-8″ squares, children’s shirts 8-10″ squares, adult shirts 10-16″ squares. While quilts are a popular gift, tote bags, pillow shams, and stuffed animals can also be made from retired clothing.

What are the Quilt Sizes? Memory quilts can be made in any size. Standard quilt sizes are listed in the table below. The quilt sizes are approximate and will vary based on size of blocks.

How much will it cost? Items are approximately $10-15/block and include standard materials like batting, interfacing, binding, straps, lining, backing, etc. Quilts start at $180. Totes start at $30. Memory animals start at $45. Pillow shams start at $20.

How long will it take to make the memory quilt? A time estimate will be given at the consultation. Typical turn around time is one month. Production time varies by season. The winter holidays are the busiest time for custom orders and must be ordered at least 8 weeks or more in advance to guarantee on-time completion.

Can a t-shirt quilt be made out of different sized blocks? Yes.

I don’t have enough shirts for a memory quilt, can you make something else? Yes tote bags, stuffed animals and pillow shams are also options.
