Classes are designed for different ages and abilities and offer a wide range of projects to suit everyone’s interests. Whether you are a beginner or experienced sewist, we have a class for you! From simple repairs to advanced techniques, our classes cover it all, making it a fun and educational experience for all participants. Class sessions are scheduled by month, but projects may continue over more than one session. Drop in and private lessons are also available.

Beginning Sewing (1 hour class)

Teaches the basics of using a sewing machine. Learn how to thread your machine, adjust the machine, wind bobbins, and create simple stitches. Gain the confidence to tackle your own sewing project and create unique items. Term projects are announced at sign up. Class may be repeated. (Older beginners over 14 years old may start in the Intermediate class even with little or no sewing experience.)

Intermediate Sewing (2 hour class)

For students who already know how to sew and feel confident enough to tackle a more involved project of their choosing. It is a project based class where students will learn to insert elastic, insert zippers, add buttons, use patterns and learn basic professional finishing sewing techniques. This class is also for students wishing to learn how to serge or how to make basic repairs and alterations.

Little Stitchers (30 min class) not currently offered

For younger students 4-8, learn the basics of hand sewing, including threading a needle and a variety of stitches, using plastic canvas and felt. Includes a small project. Class may be repeated. This is a parent/guardian assisted class.

Crochet (1 hour class)

Learn to crochet and more advanced crochet techniques. One hour class open to all levels of students 10+ and adults. Start with chain stitch, single and double crochet. Advance to magic rings and amigurumi.

Adult Sewing & Craft (2 hour class)

18+ only, no exceptions. Adult sewing or other fiber arts instruction including hand sewing, crochet, embroidery, alterations, and serging. A multi-class discount of 30% is available for parents/guardians of currently enrolled students, please contact me for the code. Childcare is available as long as it is reserved in advance.

Hand Sewing & Craft (1 hour class) not currently offered

Learn other sewing arts like hand sewing, embroidery, beading, bead weaving, cross stitch and more in this class. Topics update every month.
